Rath Yatra Festival With Odisha Tribal Tour

Itinerary

• Day 1 – 23TH JUNE, 2024(TUE): VISAKHAPATNAM

  Arrival Visakhapatnam from Delhi/Mumbai/Hyderabad/Chennai and transfer to hotel. After refreshment, visit the Simanchal temple in the afternoon and take a walk on the popular marine drive. Welcome and orientation about the tour by our guide .

• Day 2 – 23TH JUNE, 2024(WED): JEYPORE

  

  During the morning board the spectacular train ride through the valley and tunnels to Araku (4 HRS) and then by road to Semiliguda transfer to Jeypore for overnight stay en-route visit tribal village.

• Day 03 – 24H JUNE, 2024(THU): JEYPORE – BONDA TRIBE WEEKLY MARKET JEYPORE

  

  During morning after breakfast, drive to Ounkadelli area to meet most indigenous primitive Bonda tribes in their weekly market. Also meet Gadaba and Didayi tribes in this market and also visit the nearby the DUDUMA waterfalls. Overnight stay at Jeypore.

• Day 4 – 25TH JUNE, 2024 (FRI): SEMILIGUDA – KUNDULI – JEYPORE

  During morning after breakfast, drive to the  largest tribal weekly market or Odisha state  for Paraja, Mali tribes and cattle trade. Further drive to Jeypore for overnight stay.

• Day 5 - 26TH JUNE, 2024(SAT): JEYPORE – GUPTESWAR- JEYPORE

  

  During morning drive to Rayagada enroute visit tribal villages such as Desia Tribes and Saura tribes. Overnight stay at Rayagada.

• Day 6 - 27TH JUNE (SUN): JEYPORE- RAYAGADA

  During morning drive to Puttasingh region to meet ethnically Lanjia saura tribes and their villages. Walk in this peaceful village and witness the unique mud wall painting of saura tribes. On the way back, visit the Desia kondh tribal village. Overnight stay at Rayagada.

• Day 7 - 28TH JUNE (MON): RATHAYATRA FESTIVAL OF TRIBES AT BISSAM CUTTACK

  During morning visit the Desia Kondh tribes in their village. Further drive back to Rayagada for  overnight stay.

• Day 8 - 29TH JUNE 2020 : RAYAGADA – MAJHIGUIDA- BALIGUDA

  

  During morning drive to Majhiguda area to meet the Dunguria Kondh tribes in their weekly market. After few hours in the market further drive to Baliguda for overnight stay.

• Day 9 – 30TH JUNE (WED): RAYAGADA – BALIGUDA

  During morning drive to Kotagarh area, the home to kutia kondh tribes (tattoo faced). Walk in various Kutia Kondh tribal villages. Overnight stay in a basic hotel at Baliguda.

• Day 10 – 1ST JULY (THU): BALIGUDA – GOPALPUR ON SEA

  

  During morning drive to Gopalpur and enjoy the drive through beautiful valleys, landscape, hills and afternoon relax in the beach at Gopalpur on sea. Enjoy the leisurely walk and if wish visit the nearby fishermen village. Overnight stay at Gopalpur on sea.

• Day 11 – 2ND JULY (FRI): GOPALPUR – BHUBANESWAR

  

  During morning drive to Bhubaneswar enroute visit Khandagiri/udagiri caves, tribal museum. Arrival Bhubaneswar during afternoon and transfer to hotel. Further visit Mukteswar/Parsurameswar and rajarani temple. Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar.

• Day 12 – 3RD JULY (SAT): BHUBANESWAR - JORONDA SADHU- JWELLERY AND TEXTILE VILLAGE- JORONDA

  

  During morning drive to Joronda Anam Sadhu monastery enroute visit jwellery village. Visit the sadhus in their monastery and evening watch their evening prayer. Overnight stay at King’s Palace.

• Day 13 – 4TH JULY (SUN): JORONDA LALITGIRI - UDAYGIRI BUDHIST SITE BHUBANESWAR

  During morning drive to lalitgiri/ratnagiri and udaygiri, the budhist ruins and further drive to Bhubaneswar to visit Old city of Bhubaneswar and Lingaraj temple and Vaital temple . Overnight Bhubaneswar.

• Day 14 – 5TH JULY (MON): BHUBANESWAR - KONARK

  During morning drive to Konark enroute visit Dhauli Budhist stupa, Pipli appliqué village and stunning sun temple and world heritage at Konark. Overnight stay in an eco resort along the sea.

• Day 15 – 6TH JULY (TUE): KONARK - RAGHURAJPUR ART VILLAGE- PURI LOCAL

  

  After breakfast during morning drive to the artisan village at Raghurajpur. Afternoon visit pottery village, priest colony and also see the pilgrim activity around the Gundicha temple from where the return festive begin to the main temple. Overnight stay in a hotel/homestay.

• Day 16 – 7TH JULY (WED): RETURN CAR FESTIVAL AT PURI

  Today is the return festival of lord jagannath from his birth place to the main temple. Full day enjoy the return car festival site. Overnight stay at Puri.

• Day 17 – 8TH JULY (THU):

  Departure for Bhubaneswar to board the flight for your onward journey.
