In India, there is an amalgam of 437 tribes, and in Orissa, the number is sixty-two. According to 1991 Census, in Orissa the total strength of tribal population is approximately seven million.
Orissa occupies a unique position in the ethnographic map of India for having the largest variety of tribal communities. Being one of the fascinating ethnographic states of the country.

total tribal population of the country. Although they are found in all the districts of the state. Yet more than half of their total strength are found in three districts namely koraput, Malkanagiri, sundergarh and Mayurbhanj. The most primitive tribes are Dunguri Kondh, colorful Bond Tribes, Gadaba Tribes who still live in high hill and have retained their culture and traditions intact till today. Other tribes are Kutia, Paraja, Rana, Malli and Dhuruva who live in remote villages have still preserved their culture and traditions. |

Day 05 (Wed):- During morning drive to Chatikona (40KM & 01 HRS approx) to meet the DUNGURIA KONDH TRIBES in their weekly market where they sale their horticultural products such as papaya, Jackfruit, Pine apple and in exchange they take kerosene, salt chickedn etc. After few hours in the market further drive to jeypore (160KM & 4HRS approx) for over night stay in Hotel Hello Jeypore or Equivalent. |

Day 06 (Thu): During morning drive to onkdeli area (80KM & 2 HRS approx) to meet the most colorful BONDA TRIBES in their weekly market. Share the alcohol with Bonda women and meet the Bonda men with bow and arrow. During afternoon visit the near by GADABA TRIBAL VILLAGE. Back to Jeypore for over night stay in the same hotel. |

| Day 05 ( Sat) :- During morning drive to Gupteswar area ( 100KM one way and 3HRS approx) to witness the Shiva Lingam in the cave and afternoon drive to Baligaon to meet the DHURUBA TRIBES in their weekly market. | Day 09 (Wed):- Drive to Chatikona area (38 KM & 1 HRS Approx) to meet the DUNGURIA KONDH TRIBES in their weekly market where they sale their horticultural product such as pine apple, jack fruit etc and in exchange they take kerosene, chicken and salt etc. After few hours in the market further drive to Taptapani (140KM 3 HRS approx). Enjoy the hotsulpher bath during stay at Taptapani tourist bunglow surrounded with beautiful nature. |

| Day 10 (Thu) :- During morning drive to Puri enroute take the motor boat at Barkul 110KM (2 & ½ 3 HRS approx) to visit Bird Sanctuary in Chilika Lake where you will find different species of migratory birds who flock from far flung places such as Siberia, Russia & Baltic Sea. After few hours of boating further boat back to Satapada, the main land and mouth of Chilika Lake for further drive to Puri (55 KM and 1 & ½ HRS) Overnight stay in Puri in a beach side hotel called Naren Palace or Equivalent. |

| Day 11 (Fri):- During early morning enjoy the sunrise in Puri Beach. After breakfast watch the Jagannath Temple from a terrace of the biggest monastery and Puri city tour. | Day 14 ( Mon):- During early morning take the motor boat to the core are (2 & ½ HRS boating) called Dangamala where you can see crocodiles basking in the sun, Kingfisher, spotted dear etc. Also you will see different flora and fauna in Dangamala. | Day 15 (Tue):- During early morning visits BAGAGAHANA near Dangamala where you can meet the different residents and migratory birds. After some time boat back to the main land called Chandbali (2 & ½ HRS) and further drive to Bhadrak to board the late afternoon train (Dhauli Express at 15.30HRS) to Kolkata. Arrival Kolkata at 20.15 Hrs and transfer to hotel for overnight stay. |
